About
Hi! I’m Racheli (she/her), a certified intimacy coordinator and producer with over ten years of experience in theatre and film. I trained under pioneering intimacy professional Amanda Blumenthal through the SAG-AFTRA accredited IPA training program. Before becoming an intimacy coordinator, I worked as the development executive for the independent production company Sipur, where I had the privilege of working on projects like Norman (directed by Joseph Cedar, starring Richard Gere) and Swiss Army Man (directed by Academy Award winners Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert). Prior to that, I worked at the National Theatre, where I gained experience across several roles, including as an assistant producer on the blockbuster production War Horse and as a reader in the Literary Department.

As an intimacy coordinator, my primary focus is creating safe, supportive environments for everyone involved in the production process. I address any challenges calmly and professionally, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both actors and crew. With experience across all levels of production—whether in offices, rehearsal rooms, or on set—I’ve gained a deep understanding of the diverse needs and priorities of each department. I am passionate about promoting sex positivity and body positivity, and I work closely with productions to help them achieve their creative vision responsibly.

Based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Available for international work.

What Is Intimacy Coordination?
Intimacy coordination is a relatively new role within the entertainment industry, designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of performers during scenes of physical intimacy. The role emerged in response to growing calls for more ethical practices on set in the wake of the #MeToo movement. Prior to the introduction of ICs, intimate scenes were often choreographed without much thought to consent or the psychological impact on actors, leading to situations of discomfort, power imbalances, or even abuse. ICs act as a bridge between various departments on set, facilitating communication and ensuring that everyone—from the director to the performers—has a shared understanding of how intimate content should be handled. Their work is vital in creating an atmosphere of trust and professionalism, where creativity can thrive without compromising the well-being of the cast and crew.
Services

Intimacy Coordination
I work closely with actors, directors, and the production team to establish clear boundaries and consent protocols. This includes facilitating nudity riders, coordinating the use of modesty garments, choreographing intimacy sequences and ensuring that industry standards are upheld.

Consulting
As a consultant, I work with creatives on conveying authentic experiences of intimacy through accurate storytelling. I help navigate the complexities of representing intimacy in a way that is true to the characters and their emotional arcs, while also considering the broader impact on audiences and societal norms.
